New Great Tanks Preview: M4A3 Okinawa Beezelbub
Brent DietrichTaking some of our existing sets, we've prototyped a future release. This is the new M4A3 Sherman 75mm kit, combined with parts from our D-Day snorkels and M4A2 pacific sherman Wood armor. The spare tracks are scratch built, as are the sandbags and screened hatches. The new kit will include newly cast hatches with screening, metal sandbag sets, wood armor and a full set of the snorkels. Also included are several types of spare tracks, stowage, and several decal sets to build a variety of tanks present at Okinawa.
Sherman M4A2E8 "Fury" Conversion
Brent DietrichI've been wanted to build a model of "Fury" for awhile. The tank used in the movie was an M4A2 Sherman tank named RON/HARRY (T224875), lent by The Tank Museum. It was meant to portray an M4A3E8 from early 1945 for the movie. I thought it would be more interesting to create the actual tank used in the film. This build will involve converting one of our Company B M4A2 tanks.1.) First off I'll need some decals. It's time to fire up the vector program and draw the markings! 2.) The font for the name looks to be hand painted. Luckily, there are enough stills from...
Oddball's M4A3 Sherman
Brent DietrichCompany B's Brent Dietrich models the sherman commanded by Oddball from the movie Kelly's Heros. This 3D printed model features some unique pieces of stowage to make it stand out from the standard M4A3 sherman. I've used the hull and turret from our forthcoming M4A3 set, and replaced the barrel with one from our 76mm turret to mimic the post war model utilized in the film. Unique pieces were then created in CAD to allow this model to stand apart from your standard run of the mill M4A3 sherman. We've added a coffee can, milk can, and german helmets to some...
Japanese paratrooper Conversions
Michael KoznarskyCompany B's Michael Koznarsky converted these CompanyB/Brigade games Japanese Riflemen into Japanese Paratroops.Work in progress imageFrom Michael: The differences in para vs army units were the padded helmet without flared edges, the jump smock and a folding rifle (you should be able to see the folding mechanism mid rifle shaft). While the IJA and IJN both had para units, the army was the more active of the two, dropping in a lot of places early in the war. While it looks like original doctrine followed German lines (dropping only with pistols and grenades with all other weapons in ammo crates)...
