Forney type locomotive train engine. Removable roof.
The Forney Steam Locomotive was developed in the late 19th century by Matthias N. Forney. It is characterized by its compact and simple design, which makes it well-suited for use in narrow gauge railroads, streetcars, and suburban trains.
Forney engines were dominant in the rail yards of turn of the century New York and Chicago. Predominately used for passenger cars on the raised railways, these engines also did double duty hauling cargo.
