British-AFV Coastal Motor Boat
Coastal Motor Patrol boat, pilot and torpedo. This vessel, essentially a wooden shell propelled by an aircraft engine, fired a torpedo by launching it out of the stern, requiring the driver to veer hard to one side to avoid being struck by its own weapon! In use after WWI during the Russian Civil War, LT Augustus Agar used this vessel to sink the Red cruiser Oleg; other, similar ships were used to attack the Red fleet in Kronstadt harbor.
